Balance Health of Ben Lomond

Group visits are a special opportunity for patients to collaborate with other patients who have the same chronic condition, such as hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, menopause, osteoporosis, anxiety, or others.

Group visits are usually two hours long and include a topic of discussion, such as new medication. Most groups have 8 to 10 participants.

Each member is checked in, like a regular office visit, and if necessary, will have a chance to meet with the practitioner one-on-one privately at the end of the session.

Research has shown that patients benefit from the sharing of experiences and the support they receive from others in the group. In addition, the physician can devote more time to prevention and education than during an office visit, and can bring additional resources to the group, such as a dietitian or physical therapist.

Many insurance companies cover these visits.

Group visits are NOT mandatory if you have a chronic condition.

It will take us some time to set these groups up. If you are interested in a group visit, please sign up with our receptionist or online, and we will contact you when we are ready to start.
